Our Yoga Classes

The Basics and Beyond

This class will break down Vinyasa or flow yoga into something less intimidating. We’ll focus on Sun Salutes, standing poses, balances, seated/reclining postures, and Savasana. We'll work with variations of these sets of poses to make them more manageable and familiar. We’ll even explore what is beyond the physical aspect of them. This class will leave you feeling balanced, strong, and powerful! Suitable to new/new-ish students and those who’d like to get back to the good ‘ole basics.

Beginner’s Class

Our Beginner’s Class is fabulous for new students and seasoned practitioners alike! In this class, you will learn the foundations of yoga and ways to implement the tools in the Mindful Yoga Therapy “toolbox”, including Breathing, Mindful Movement, Yoga Nidra, Gratitude, and Meditation. Suitable to all levels.

Chair Yoga

Our Chair Yoga class is wonderful for those who are new to yoga, dealing with an injury or health condition, need the support of the chair for stability, or simply choose not to come to the floor. You’ll breathe, move, stretch, strengthen, and balance the nervous system. A joyful class for adults of all ages.

Hatha

Our Hatha classes build both flexibility and strength. The postures create more space in the body and help bring it into alignment. This practice balances the energies of ha = sun/male and tha = moon/female. Hatha is suitable for all levels.

Love Your Asana

This hands-on, interactive experience will help you customize your postures, deepen & empower your physical practice, and develop your understanding of alignment in your own, unique body.  Bring your practice to a new level. Everyone is welcome.

Slow Flow

Our Slow Flow, like our Vinyasa, is a continuous and creative flow of postures, set to the melody and synchronicity of breath. This class approaches Vinyasa at a slower pace, building up strength while students learn the fundamentals of a flowing practice. If you have been curious about Vinyasa, this is a great place to start. If you are a regular practitioner, this class will help you develop stamina with longer holds. Try it out, you might be surprised!

Sweet and Serene Saturdays

This class is held outdoors, weather permitting, on the lawn of Black Birch Vineyard, located at 108 Straits Road in North Hatfield. Kick off your weekend with a Hatha practice while taking in the sights and sounds of nature. Bring a towel to place under your yoga mat, as the grass is sometimes a little damp upon arrival.

Present Power

This invigorating, powerful, and strengthening practice comes from the Ashtanga system. It features sun salutations and a flowing sequence of postures in a specific order. It is one of our absolute favorites and always leaves us feeling OM-azing!

Yin Yoga

This class is a slow-paced and introspective practice, primarily from the mat and with the support of props. They are held for a minimum of 2-5 minutes each to target the deeper muscles and tissues in our body, which results in increased flexibility and mobility. The practice activates the parasympathetic nervous system, helps us become more resilient to stress, teaches us self-compassion, and helps us slow down. Suitable to all levels.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is a deep relaxation practice. Although Nidra means “sleep,” you are awake during Yoga Nidra. This is a wonderful practice that helps people sleep better and find more peace. Bring your family, your friends, your partner, your parents, and even your teens!
